Habitat for Humanity Maui announced its second annual Disaster Recovery Fundraiser to be held at the historic Old Lahaina Lūʻau on Oct. 4, 2025. This event aims to raise essential funds to support the continued rebuilding of Lahaina, which was devastated by the catastrophic wildfires of 2023. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly towards recovery and reconstruction efforts.

This event aims to raise essential funds to support the continued rebuilding of Lahaina, which was devastated by the catastrophic wildfires of 2023. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly towards recovery and reconstruction efforts. 

The Maui Nonprofit Directors Association will be announcing the Humanitarian, Business and Executive Director of the Year award winners at the association’s annual meeting, 5 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Maui Beach Hotel Ballroom.

Bachman will be replacing Sherri K. Dodson who is stepping down at the end of 2022, to lead the organization’s Homeownership Education and Counseling program.
