The Maui Fire Department will be conducting a series of wildland firefighting, “live-fire,” training exercises in N Kīhei starting on Tuesday, April 18.

A brush fire reported about a quarter mile above the Pāʻia Gym on Baldwin Avenue on Thursday night burned a mall area of sugar cane before being brought under control.
