Imua Family Services is now accepting film submissions for the inaugural Be Reel Child & Youth Film Festival, Maui’s first-ever festival about kids, for kids and by kids. Youth across Maui and across the globe are invited to transform their ideas, passions, and lived experiences into powerful short films that will premiere on the big screen in 2026.

Imua Family Services has announced the launch of the Be Reel Child & Youth Film Festival. The three-day film festival “created for kids, about kids and by kids” is set to debut in May 2026.
Maui and Hawaiʻi film offices nominated for LMGI Outstanding Film Commission Award
The State and County nomination came from HBO’s “The White Lotus” series. Filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, it was shot under the most difficult conditions in Hawai‘i’s film industry history. The White Lotus, filmed on location within the Four Seasons Maui in Wailea, has since received 20 Emmy Nominations.
