Maui Health released a statement this afternoon following an earlier press conference this morning in which Maui Mayor Michael Victorino confirmed a cluster of around 15 COVID-19 positive cases among Maui Health employees. 

Diegel spoke with KPOA’s Shane Kahalehau, discussing how residents with no health insurance can get treatment, how Maui Health is preparing for a potential surge of COVID-19 patients, coordination efforts with the County of Maui, alternative care mobilization efforts, MEDB’s efforts to produce bridge ventilators on island, and how the community can help.

A new radio feature starts Monday featuring executives and doctors with Maui Health who will provide updates and answer questions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The feature runs daily at 7:19 a.m. on KPOA 93.5 FM, starting on Monday, March 30, 2020.
