Update: High surf advisory for Maui until 6 a.m. Sunday

The National Weather Service issued a high surf advisory for north-facing shores of Maui until 6 a.m. Saturday.

High Surf Advisory for East Facing Shores of Maui and Molokaʻi on Saturday and Sunday

A High Surf Advisory is in effect for East facing shores of Maui and Molokaʻi from 6 am Saturday to 6 pm Sunday due to high trade winds.

High Surf and Wind Advisories Issued for Maui County

The National Weather Service has issued wind advisories for Lānaʻi, Kahoolawe and portions of Maui and the Big Island. It also has issued high surf advisories for Maui, Molokaʻi, Oʻahu and Kauaʻi.

A High Surf ADVISORY has been issued by the National Weather Service in Honolulu for Maui’s east facing shores. The advisory will remain in effect until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19.

Rough, High Surf Impacts North/East Shores

A large swell promised to bring 15 to 20 foot waves today to Maui’s north shores and 12 to 16 foot waves to east shores – a warning for some, but an invitation for others.
