Homeowner Assistance Fund expands to $21M to help Maui, Molokaʻi, and Lānaʻi homeowners

Even more homeowners may be eligible for mortgage or other qualified housing expense assistance through the Maui County Homeowner Assistance Fund Program. Homeowners on Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi who were affected negatively by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic may be eligible for assistance and other resources to help avoid foreclosure.

Maui Homeowner Assistance Fund Program accepting applications starting today, May 6

Maui County homeowners affected negatively by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic may be eligible to receive financial assistance for mortgage, other qualified housing expenses and other resources to help them avoid foreclosure under the Maui Homeowner Assistance Fund (MHAF) Program that launches today, Monday, May 6, 2024. Homeowners displaced by the Maui Wildfires also may be eligible for assistance and are encouraged to apply.

Maui Property Taxes Due August 22, 2011

Failure to pay real property taxes on time will result in a 10 percent penalty assessed to bills, plus interest at a rate of 12 percent per year. Those, who for some reason do not receive a tax bill, will not be excused from the late fees.
