Maui Police Department achieves CALCEA re-accreditation

On April 2, 2022, CALEA awarded accreditation status to the department for the ninth time. The department received its first accreditation in August of 1996.

Maui Police Department Crime Laboratory ISO/IEC Accreditation

The MPD Crime Lab accreditation was granted in the fall of 2021, and is the final organization of the four counties in the state to achieve this exclusive status. The MPD Crime Laboratory is responsible for testing all of the seized drugs in the County of Maui.  

Accreditation Team Invites Public Comment on Maui Police Department, Dec. 13

As part of the virtual site-based assessment, the Maui Police Department invites agency employees and members of the community to participate in a public hearing starting on Monday, Dec. 13, 2021, at 3 p.m.
