County of Maui to Accept Fall 2021 Season Tri-Annual Permits From May 1-7

The County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation will begin accepting applications for Fall 2021 Tri-Annual Permits – for leagues and recreational programs – on Saturday, May 1 through 4 p.m. on Friday, May 7. Permit applications are limited to those for use of pools, fields and tennis courts during the period of Aug. 1 to Dec. 31, 2021.

Hanaka‘ō‘ō Beach Park Parking Lot Improvements Announced

The Hawai‘i Department of Parks and Recreation announced a project to improve drainage, install new parking lot asphalt and provide ADA-accessible access to a restroom at Hanakaʻōʻō Beach Park. The park’s driveway and parking lot will be closed during the project’s construction from Oct. 12, 2020 through March 2021.

County to Host First Annual Pickleball Clinic and Tourney Feb. 11

The County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation will host its first annual Pickleball Clinic and Round-Robin tournament on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017.

Parks Surveys to be Mailed to Maui Residents 

The County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation is mailing a second round of park surveys to a random sample of Maui County residents to establish priorities for the future improvement and development of parks and recreation facilities, programs and services within the county.

Groups of five or six is the cause of slow play and makes it unenjoyable for the rest of the golfers who stick to the typical foursome. At a minimum, can groups of five or six be allowed only after noon?
