The Hawai‘i State Department of Health has issued a formal notice to proceed for Maui Wellness Group, LLC, dba Maui Grown Therapies after it passed its final on-site inspection for its fourth retail facility. Maui Grown Therapies’ new retail site is located at 1215 South Kīhei Road D-2 in Kīhei, and the company expects to begin sales on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023.

The Hawai‘i State Department of Health has issued a formal notice to Maui Wellness Group, LLC, doing business as Maui Grown Therapies that authorizes the company to open its third retail store. The retail store will be located in Pukalani at 7 Āewa Place, Unit 3 in Makawao and expects to begin sales on March 25.

Maui Grown Therapies is the first medical cannabis dispensary in the state to receive the okay from the state to begin selling medical cannabis to patients.

Pono Life Sciences Maui is the fourth licensee to receive notice from the state and the second Maui licensee to meet all requirements to begin growing marijuana

Maui Grown Therapies is among the first two medical marijuana dispensaries in the state to receive approvals to acquire and grow marijuana for medical products in Hawaiʻi.

The Maui Wellness Group, LLC, received the highest ranking in the state out of the eight Hawaiʻi companies that were selected for dispensary licenses.

Maui Wellness Group, LLC and Pono Life Sciences Maui, LLC were announced today as the Marijuana Dispensary Licensees for the County of Maui. They are among a list of eight entities awarded licenses across the state to operate dispensaries in respective counties in Hawaiʻi.
