Maui Health leadership continues to monitor the rise in community spread of COVID-19 and the potential for increased hospitalizations amid a surge in cases across the state.
Sept. 30, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 332 New Cases in Hawai‘i, 12 Deaths
There were 332 additional COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i on Thursday. The latest data represents a total of 5,130 “active” cases over two weeks. Maui County’s seven day average of cases peaked at 57.6 per 100,000 on Aug. 25, and has been on a steady decline since the beginning of September, dropping to 14.4 per 100,000 today.
