Parade entries now open for the 2025 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pāʻū Parade
The 2025 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pā‘ū Parade and Ho‘olaule‘a is set for Saturday, June 21, 2025, and invites the community to take part in the annual celebration. The festivities return to Central Maui, with a parade along Ka‘ahumanu Avenue followed by a ho‘olaule‘a at Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center.
2024 Kamehameha Day Parade returns to Kaʻahumanu Ave. on June 15
The 2024 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pā‘ū Parade and Ho‘olaule‘a will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Due to the recent fires in Lahaina, this year’s commemoration has been relocated to Central Maui. The parade will proceed down Ka‘ahumanu Ave. and conclude at Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center.
2024 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pā‘ū Parade calling for entries
The 2024 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pā‘ū Parade and Ho‘olaule‘a is set for Saturday, June 15, 2024. Due to the Lahaina fires, the day-long events will be relocated to Central Maui, featuring a parade route along Ka‘ahumanu Avenue and a ho‘olaule‘a at Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center. This year’s Hawai’i-wide theme is “He Inoa No Kalaninui Kamehameha” – Honor to Kamehameha the Great. The application is accessible online for parade entries to apply, with a deadline of May 24, 2024.
Call for entries for 2023 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pā‘ū Parade
The 2023 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pā‘ū Parade and Ho‘olaule‘a is scheduled for Saturday, June 17, 2023, celebrating the theme “E ala e nā kini o ka ʻāina!” – Arise all people of the land! The deadline to submit an application is May 26, 2023.
In person Pā‘ū Parade and Hoʻolauleʻa returns to Lahaina in honor of Nā Kamehameha
“We want to welcome everyone back safely to Lahaina for this event,” said Daryl Fujiwara event coordinator. “Sacred Hearts is celebrating 160 years and one of our partners, Lahaina Restoration Foundation is celebrating 50 years and the holiday itself honoring King Kamehameha is celebrating 150 years — lots to celebrate.”
