Temporary Emergency Department entrance at Maui Memorial Medical Center
Effective Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, the Emergency Department entrance, registration, and waiting room at Maui Memorial Medical Center have been temporarily relocated to start construction of the new Nan and Wayne Kocourek Clinical Decision Unit.

Starting Sept. 3, 2025, all patients and visitors must access the ER through the hospital entrance near Pacific Cancer Institute (PCI). This entrance is located immediately to the left of the existing ER entrance.
Construction now underway for new Clinical Decision Unit at Maui Memorial Medical Center
The new CDU, which will be built off of the Emergency Department, will streamline diagnosis and improve care for those requiring immediate life-saving intervention while also allowing physicians and staff to monitor patients who do not require inpatient admission but are not well enough to go home.
