Don’t Get Scared, Get Prepared campaign launched by Hawaiʻi Emergency Management

The Hawai‘i Emergency Management Agency launched an outreach campaign for National Preparedness Month with the tagline “Donʻt Get Scared — Get Prepared.”

Gov. Ige Proclaims September “National Preparedness Month”

Gov. David Y. Ige declared September National Preparedness Month in response to the hardships and challenges facing the state and island ʻohana.

September is National Preparedness Month in Hawai’i

The Hawai’i Emergency Management Agency used the first two weeks of the month to encourage residents to make a plan and build an emergency kit.  The next two weeks are focused on preparing for disasters and teaching youth about preparedness.
