The Department of Human Services has opened an additional application period for its Preschool Open Doors program starting today, May 1 and ending May 31, 2017.
Application Period Begins Feb. 1 for Preschool Open Doors
To qualify for the program, children must be eligible to enter kindergarten in the 2017-2018 school year (born between August 1, 2011 and July 31, 2012).
Deadline Oct. 31 for Preschool Open Doors Program Applications
The program runs from Jan. 1 to June 30, 2016, and currently serves more than 1,000 children statewide by providing subsidies to eligible low and moderate income families to pay for preschool tuition.
