Booster Eligibility Expands for Adults in Hawai‘i
Effective immediately all adults age 18 and older who completed their primary mRNA vaccinations of Pfizer or Moderna at least six months ago are eligible for boosters.

Maui Health to Begin Pfizer Booster Shots for Eligible Seniors Starting Monday, Sept. 27
Maui Health will begin providing booster shots of the Pfizer vaccine to eligible individuals beginning Monday, Sept. 27. This is in addition to current vaccine administration of providing first, second and third doses to eligible residents.
DOH Authorizes Pfizer Booster Doses, Prioritizes First Shots & Kupuna
The Hawai‘i Department of Health has authorized Pfizer booster doses, with prioritization to those who have not yet received a first and second dose over any booster. The department is also recommending priority to kupuna ages 65 years and older, and those between 50 and 64 who have underlying medical conditions.
State Health Department Awaiting CDC Recommendations on Pfizer Booster Shots
The CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices voted on Thursday to recommend booster shots for people 65 and older and others with underlying medical conditions, but it has not said yet whether it will follow the advisory committee’s recommendations.
Vaccination Clinics at UH Maui College, Sept. 25 and Oct. 2
The University of Hawaiʻi Maui College has scheduled two more COVID-19 vaccination clinics. The first is on Saturday, Sept. 25, and the second is on Saturday, Oct. 2. Both are from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will be held in the in the Pā‘ina Building on the UHMC Kahului campus.
