Eleven year old Luana Fitch won the Junior Barrel competition at the Makawao Stampede rodeo, held over the weekend at the Oskie Rice Event Center. Her combined times (18.85 sec and 18.83 sec) in the junior event would have beat the open women’s championship times for the same category. With respective wins in breakaway and tie-down roping at the Kaonoulu Ranch Open on Friday, Kula’s Elizabeth and Daniel Miranda have punched their ticket to The American West Coast Contender Regionals in Las Vegas.
