Court Order delays candidate filing for US Rep., State Senator and State House offices
The State of Hawaiʻi Supreme Court issued a court order temporarily suspending candidate filing for the offices of US Representative, State Senate, and State Representative contests until further notice from the court. The order arises from a challenge of the 2021 State Reapportionment Plan.
Virtual Public Hearings on Reapportionment Start Nov. 30
The State Reapportionment Commission will be holding a series of virtual public hearings on a proposed reapportionment plan for developing congressional and legislative districts lines, which will be used for the next 10 years.
Primary Election Voter Registration Deadline, Thursday
Completed voter registration forms must be turned in to the appropriate city or county clerk’s office by 4:30 p.m. on July 12, or postmarked by midnight if mailed.
