Starting today, the County of Maui begins the soft rollout of a secondary test upon arrival at Kahului Airport for trans-Pacific flights.

Initial results indicate less than 1 out of 1,000 of travelers testing positive for COVID-19 post-arrival to Hawaiʻi. A separate post-arrival test established on Maui has documented three positive cases out of more than 1,200 individuals who have opted for participation in the program between Oct. 17 and 31.
