MIL Surfing Championship Results

Sloane Jucker, of Maui Prep,  defended her Maui Interscholastic League shortboard title, while Chase Burnes defeated a couple of former MIL champions to win his first boy’s shortboard crown, at the MIL Surf Championship Saturday at Hoʻokipa Beach Park.

Maui Prep won the boys’ crown, while their West Maui rival, Lahainaluna, took the girls’ division at the first Maui Interscholastic League surf contest of the season, Saturday at D.T. Fleming Beach Park.

31st Ole Longboard Classic – Results

Hans Vandervoort was the comeback story, but women ruled the day at the 31st Ole Longboard Classic at Launiupoko Beach Park, Saturday. Lara Claydon won the Open Women’s title.
