Maui police are responding to a barricade situation at the Harbor Lights Condominium complex in Kahului.  

Man Involved in Wailuku Standoff Arrested for Stolen Vehicles

Keoni Kuhaulua, 38, of Wailuku, was charged with the two counts of Unauthorized Control of a Propelled Vehicle, and one count of Resisting an Order to Stop Motor Vehicle.

Murder Suspect Waiki Dead; Officer Wounded by Gunfire

Members of the Department’s Special Response Team, were conducting checks within the vehicle when the suspect, Justin Waiki opened fire wounding an officer. Police say officers present returned fire resulting in the death of Waiki.
