Battling invasive species topic of County sustainability series, May 30
The County of Maui Environmental Protection and Sustainability Division has announced the third installment of its Sustainability Together: Community-led Regenerative Action speaker series from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, at the Maui Ocean Center Sphere. This session, titled “Grassroots Guardians: Battling Invasives in Maui County,” is being held during Hawaiʻi Invasive Species Awareness Month.
“Sustainability Together: Community-led Regenerative Action” speaker series, July 10
The County of Maui Environmental Protection and Sustainability Division will host the second installment of its speaker series “Sustainability Together: Community-led Regenerative Action” on July 10 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Molokaʻi Community Health Center. The event will be streamed live on Akakū Maui Community Media Channel 54.

In the first of the four-part speaker series, participants will gain insights into the impacts of coastal erosion and nature-based solutions, and how two Maui County communities have successfully worked together to combat beach erosion and enhance coastal resilience.
