State gets $79.9K from Wireless Carriers in settlement over deceptive and misleading advertising practices

The state of Hawai‘i will receive $79,928.66 in a settlement with Wireless Carriers, announced the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) Office of Consumer Protection on May 10.

T-Mobile announced the latest recipients of the company’s Difference Maker program, providing $10,000 each to five nonprofit organizations in Hawaii and Washington that are making a difference in their communities. Maui Food Bank and Maui Strong Foundation are both recipients of this donation.

Hawai’i will receive $182,000 in Experian data breach settlements involving T-mobile

The settlement also requires Experian to offer 5 years of free credit monitoring services to affected consumers, and two free copies of their credit reports annually during that timeframe.

T-Mobile Coming Soon to Lahaina Gateway

T-Mobile will open their first and only Lahaina location at Lahaina Gateway in late 2021. The new store will occupy 2,810 square feet next to the recently opened Kīhei Caffe.
