UH College of Social Sciences receives $470,000 gift from Japan-America Institute
The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s College of Social Sciences has received a $470,000 gift from Fujitsu Ltd./Japan-America Institute of Management Science. The donation, administered by the UH Foundation, will support the college’s “robust environment and continued engagement in the global community,” according to an announcement.
$3.76M gift establishes JABSOM’s first fellowship to tackle liver disease
A $3.76 million gift from John C. Couch will establish the first-ever gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship program at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) that will train physicians to treat liver diseases, including cancer, in the islands.
