National report ranks University of Hawaiʻi 2-year colleges as tops for affordability

The University of Hawaiʻi Community College system is a national leader in economic mobility and student support according to the 2025 State Opportunity Index (SOI). The newly released findings reveal that UH’s two-year institutions are currently leading in affordability, providing students with one of the most accessible paths to a degree in the US. 

Public meetings planned for proposed UH tuition increase for 2025, 2026

The University of Hawaiʻi 10-campus system is proposing a freeze on undergraduate tuition for two more academic years 2023–24 and 2024–25 followed by a 2% increase in resident tuition rates at the three UH universities in 2025–26 and a 2% increase in 2026–27.

2012 Summer Tuition at UHMC Drops to $248

Tuition at the University of Maui College will drop $69 to $248 per credit hour for the 2012 Summer session. The reduction in summer tuition rates was approved today by the University of Hawaii Board of Regents as an incentive for Hawai‘i resident students to enroll in summer classes.

UHMC Tuition Will Be $3,900 in 2017

The University of Hawaii Maui College falls under the Community College schedule, and will see an increase of nearly $1,000 over five years.

UH to Elicit Feedback on Proposed Tuition Increase
