The state Department of Transportation will host a public meeting on Maui to discuss runway rehabilitation options at the Kahului Airport.

The purpose of the informational meeting is to inform the public about the current condition of Runway 2-20, present several repair options that are being considered, and discuss possible short-term and long-term effects.

The meeting will provide the community with an opportunity to identify and respond to areas of concern and interest relating to each of the options.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2011, at the Pomaikai Elementary School Cafeteria, located at 4650 South Kamehameha Avenue in Kahului.
