Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be around waist/chest/head high today.
West: Surf is ankle/knee high today. The best breaks could get up to knee/waist high out of the south-southwest.
South: Surf is around knee/waist high today.
Only trace amounts of swell today out of the south. Nothing significant through at least mid-month. Perhaps something will line up around the 16th.
Tropical system Ivette is not looking to send significant swell to the islands. Small swell will mix in Tuesday through Thursday. Omais (near Japan), Javier (near Mexico) and Conson (east of Mariana Islands) aren’t looking like wave makers for us.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
