A 20-year-old Kula man has succumbed to injuries sustained as a result of a collision reported on Kanaloa Avenue in Wailuku last week.

A male pedestrian who was working in the middle of a lane on Kanaloa Avenue in Wailuku, was struck by an oncoming vehicle and sustained critical life-threatening injuries this morning.

Pilot Project for Pedestrian Safety Launched on Maui

The project will install “State Law Stop for Pedestrians within Crosswalk” signs at existing crosswalks on Kanaloa Avenue, fronting the War Memorial Complex, and on South Kīhei Road, at the crosswalk north of Uwapo Road, near the Kīhei Canoe Club.
