Organizers of the Kamehameha Hoolaulea discuss the upcoming event during a live radio broadcast on KPOA 93.5 FM.

The 2011 Kamehameha Schools Maui Ho’olaule’a takes place on Saturday April 16, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the grounds of the Pukalani campus.

The Ho’olaule’a event, is free and open to the public.  Funds raised will go towards the support of student enrichment programs not funded by KS Maui, and provides college scholarships for KS Maui graduates.

This year’s event is coordinated and powered by the Parent Teacher Student ‘Ohana of Kamehameha Schools Maui, in partnership with Kamehameha Schools Maui.

The event features a variety of entertainment activities, food booths and auction items.  Also returning is the popular Ho’olaule’a Logo Shop, with NEW products.

NEW This Year are the following events and activities:

  • Hawaiian Cultural Center featuring cultural demonstrations and presentations.
  • Blue & White Elephant Sale:  First annual rummage sale, raising funds for college scholarships benefiting Native Hawaiian students in Maui County, who do not attend Kamehameha Schools. Coordinated and powered by Kamehameha Alumni Association, Maui Region.
  • Hoolaulea 2011 Car Show:  Dozens of custom and classic cars showcased in this much-anticipated and first ever Car Show at KSMC PTSO’s Hoolaulea.
