Beginning August 7, Gregg Lundberg will leave his leadership position at the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas, where he has been general manager since 2003, and take up the general manager position at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa in Kaanapali.
Gregg Lundberg has a long history in the Hawaii hospitality industry having served on the opening teams for the Hyatt Regency Waikoloa, the Hyatt Regency Kauai, and the Grant Hyatt Wailea (now known as the Grand Wailea Resort). He also broadened his experience abroad at the Signature Hotel Group and the Palace of the Golden Horses in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Lundberg also plays an active role in the community, serving on the boards of the Ka‘anapali North Beach Masters Association; the Maui Police Commission; the American Resort Developers Association; the Maui Hotel and Lodging Association; the Maui Visitors Convention Bureau; and the Kaanapali Beach Resort Association.
“Gregg’s extensive background in hospitality and familiarity with our Maui properties is a
huge asset to the Starwood Hawaii family,” said Keith Vieira, senior vice president and director of operations for Starwood in Hawaii and French Polynesia, in a written statement. “We’re delighted that he will be bringing his innovative spirit and expertise to The Westin Maui Resort & Spa.”
