Road Resurfacing Project Begins in West Maui

Work began yesterday on a four-month road resurfacing project in West Maui.

The work zone extends along the Honoapiilani Highway from Honokowai to Hoohui Street in Kahana, with work scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., according to a public notice issued by Maui Mater Builders.

In addition to road resurfacing work, the project also includes the upgrading of guardrails, reconstructing weakened pavement areas, and installation of pavement markings.

The project is expected to conclude on May 31, 2012.
