Small Craft Advisory Until Wednesday Night

Mariners are advised of a small craft advisory in effect for Māʻalaea Bay, the ʻAlenuihāhā Channel (between Maui and Hawaiʻi Island), and the Pailolo Channel (between Maui and Molokaʻi).

The advisory will remain in effect until 6 p.m. on Wednesday due to rough seas of 11 feet and winds blowing at 25 knots.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory saying inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in these hazardous conditions.
