Beach goers can expect 10 to 15 foot surf along the north facing shores of Maui and Molokaʻi today as high surf conditions continue.
The National Weather Service extended a high surf advisory for affected shorelines until 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, due to elevated surf.
Forecasters from the NWS say the conditions will result in rip currents, localized beach erosion and shore break that will make swimming difficult and dangerous.
As a precaution, the agency advises beach goers, swimmers and surfers to heed the advice of ocean safety officials and exercise caution.
