“Times are tight and every penny counts.” said Katy Chen, chief administrative officer of Goodwill Industries of Hawai‘i. “Tax prep services can be expensive. Since VITA is free, families can keep their full tax refund. Last year, the average family Goodwill serviced claimed a tax refund of $2,175 per household. VITA can really make a difference.”
