Breezy Winds Continue Through Weekend

A Small Craft Advisory is posted for the Pailolo and ʻAlenuihāhā channels, as well as Māʻalaea Bay through 6:00 p.m. Saturday. Northeast winds from 15 to 25 knots are expected with rough seas up to 11 feet.

Today
We expect high temperatures from 85° to 90°. Trade winds are expected from 10 to 20 mph. Partly cloudy in windward areas with morning showers likely and a chance of afternoon showers. Leeward spots are expected to be mostly clear.

Tonight
Trade winds are expected from 10 to 20 mph tonight. A chance of showers is forecasted for leeward spots with partly cloudy skies and showers are likely for windward and mauka areas. Low temperatures from 71° to 76° are expected.
Looking Ahead
Locally breezy trade winds are expected into this weekend, with a slight decrease possible from Sunday into early next week. The trades will keep low clouds and brief showers focused mainly over windward and mauka areas, except for afternoon showers over the Kona slopes. A slight increase in showers is possible over the northwestern end of the main Hawaiian island chain starting Sunday.
