Trade winds will continue to blow through the forecast period. A northeast to southwest band of showers has been spreading showers across Maui county overnight and will reach the Big Island early Tuesday. The trade wind flow will focus most of those showers over windward and mauka areas.
Today we expect partly to mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers for windward areas. Leeward spots will be mostly clear to start with partly cloudy skies and isolated afternoon showers. High temperatures from 84° to 89°. Northeast winds are expected from 15 to 20 mph.

Northeast winds are expected this evening around 15 mph. Low temperatures from 73° to 78°. Mostly cloudy skies are expected in the evening with scattered showers for windward areas and isolated showers in leeward areas.
