Gusts to 55 mph, Wind Advisory Posted
A Wind Advisory is posted for all of Maui County through 6 p.m. Saturday for east winds from 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph in our windiest areas.
A Gale Warning is posted for the Alenuihaha and Pailolo channels. Winds up to 35 knots and seas up to 15 feet are expected.
A Small Craft Advisory is posted for all other Maui County waters and channels through 6 a.m. Friday. East winds are expected up to 30 knots and seas up to 12 feet.
A High Surf Advisory is posted through Sunday at 6 p.m. for east facing shores with 8 to 11 foot faces expected.

Strong trade winds will strengthen slightly Friday and Saturday, then gradually weaken into the middle of next week. Clouds and showers will occasionally affect mainly windward and mauka areas, though some showers will reach leeward sides of the smaller islands from time to time. Shower activity will likely increase Friday night into Monday or Tuesday which will mainly focus over windward sides of Maui and Big Island.
Partly sunny skies are expected for windward and mauka areas with scattered showers. Leeward areas will be partly sunny but could get some isolated showers riding in our breezy trade winds. East winds are expected from 20 – 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. High temperatures from 79° to 84°.

East winds are expected from 15 to 30 mph with higher gusts. Low temperatures from 71° to 76°. Mostly cloudy skies are expected in the evening with numerous showers in windward and mauka spots and scattered showers for lee areas.
