Wind Gusts up to 55 mph Expected Today

A Wind Advisory is posted for all of Maui County through 6 p.m. Saturday for east winds from 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph in our windiest areas.
A Gale Warning is posted through 6 p.m. Sunday for the Alenuihaha and Pailolo channels. Winds up to 35 knots and seas up to 15 feet are expected.
A Small Craft Advisory is posted for all other Maui County waters and channels through 6 p.m. Sunday. East winds are expected up to 30 knots and seas up to 12 feet.
A High Surf Advisory is posted through Sunday at 6 p.m. for east facing shores with 8 to 11 foot faces expected.

Looking Ahead
Strong trade winds will continue into next week and will carry showers into windward and mauka spots with passing rainfall reaching leeward locations from time to time. Trades are expected to weaken next week.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected for windward and mauka areas with showers likely. Leeward areas will be partly sunny but could get some isolated showers riding in our breezy trade winds. Northeast winds are expected from 20 – 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. High temperatures from 79° to 84°.

Northeast winds are expected from 15 to 30 mph with higher gusts. Low temperatures from 68° to 73°. Mostly cloudy skies are expected in the evening with showers likely in windward and mauka spots and scattered showers for lee areas.
