Makena Beach & Golf Resort’s first food and wine tasting of 2016 features Napa Valley’s B Cellars Winery. The resort will host the Food & Wine Education Series event on Saturday, Jan. 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Molokini Bar & Grille.

The three B Cellar wines are accompanied by three dish pairings that include lobster, scallops and steak. The event also offers wine commentary by B Cellars co-founder Duffy Keys and a food demonstration by Makena Beach & Golf Resort Executive Chef Kurt Lesmerises.

  • FIRST COURSE
    Wine Pairing: Maldonado Vineyard Chardonnay 2013
    Molokai Potato Fried Lobster
    Blueberries, Edamame, Avocado, Baby Tomatoes, Maui Onion, Baby Greens, Vanilla Citrus Vinaigrette
  • SECOND COURSE
    Wine Pairing: Blend 23, Chardonnay/Sauvignon Blanc/Viognier 2013
    Macadamia Nut Crusted Diver Sea Scallops
    Kumu Farms Carrots, Green Pea Mash, Bacon Lardons and Hollandaise Sauce
  • THIRD COURSE
    Ehrlich Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2012
    Wagyu New York Strip Steak
    Brandy & Peppercorn Sauce with Bistro-Style Pomme Frites
