County Council Candidate Regan to Hold Meet & Greet
The public is invited to a “Meet & Greet” with Maui County Council Candidate Keith Regan on Saturday, April 23, 2016, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Lahaina Yacht Club located at 835 Front St. in Lahaina.
Regan, who now serves as the County of Maui’s Managing director, will vie for the Maui County Council Wailuku District seat. The meeting will provide an opportunity for attendees to get to know Regan and ask questions.
Regan has been endorsed by Councilmember Gladys Baisa and ILWU Local 142.
This event will include complimentary pūpū and a no-host bar.
In 2001, Regan was recognized by Pacific Business News as Hawai‘i’s Young Business Person of the Year and the Community Leader of the Year.
He was recognized by The Maui News as one of the “People Who Made a Difference” in 2011.
During his term as managing director, Regan has focused on process improvement and accountability initiatives. Some of these initiatives have included permitting, performance management, process review, management training and fleet vehicle usage.
In addition, Regan also helped kickoff the county’s award-winning health and wellness program, and implemented GPS tracking for county vehicles.
He currently chairs the Sugar Operators Support Task Force.
Regan holds a master of public administration degree from the University of Southern California, participated in the Senior Executive in Government Program at Harvard University, and is a 2005 graduate of the Pacific Century Fellows Program.
