A Wind Advisory is posted through 6 p.m. Thursday for east winds from 20 to 30 mph, gusting to 50 mph.
A Gale Warning is posted for the Pailolo and ʻAlenuihāhā channels, as well as Māʻalaea Bay through 6 p.m. Thursday.
A Small Craft Advisory is posted for all other Maui County waters through 6 p.m. Thursday.
A High Surf Advisory is posted for east facing shores until 6 p.m. Friday.

Trade winds will be strong and gusty into the holiday weekend. Low clouds and showers will focus over our windward and mauka spots with winds pushing moisture into lee spots from time to time. Trade winds are expected to weaken a bit on Sunday and Monday. An increase in showers is expected Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Mostly cloudy for windward spots with numerous showers in the morning and scattered showers in the afternoon. Partly cloudy for leeward areas. High temperatures from 80° to 85°. East winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph.
