Wailuku First Friday (WFF) returns on Aug. 3, 2018 featuring a big crowd favorite: the 10th Annual Uptown Get Down breakdancing competition. Hosted by DJ Joralien, attendees can witness Maui’s best B-Boys and B-Girls battle it out for prestige and prizes. Sign-ups begin at 5:00 p.m. at Request Music (10 N. Market St.) and the battle begins at 6:00 p.m.

WFF showcases dozens of artisans, handmade crafters and food vendors. Additional highlights include Buck for Ducks at Art on Market, Afterglow Yoga’s 3rd Anniversary Celebration with Black Light Yoga, benefiting Maui United Way and an art exhibition by Sean Baba called Celebrate at Fresh Island Art Gallery.

This free family event will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on historic Market Street. Maui Medical Group offers free parking during Wailuku First Friday at the facility’s lot, located near the Main/High Street intersection. The Vineyard Street parking exit will close at 9:00 p.m. Patrons can exit the lot onto Main Street after 9:00 p.m.
