Hawai‘i Gas Prices Stable For Holiday Weekend
Thanksgiving weekend gas prices remain steady for residents and incoming Thanksgiving holiday tourists, according to the AAA Hawaiʻi Weekend Gas Watch.
Today’s statewide average price is $3.66 a gallon, which is the same as last week, also the same as a month ago and eight cents lower than on this date a year ago, according to AAA.
- In Kahului, the average price is $3.83, which is the same as last Thursday, also the same as a month ago and 21 cents lower than on this date a year ago.
- Līhue’s average price for regular is $3.87, which is one cent higher than last Thursday, unchanged from last month and eight cents lower than a year ago today.
- In Honolulu, today’s average price for regular is $3.54, which is the same as last week, one cent higher than a month ago and seven cents lower than on this date last year.
- The Hilo average price is $3.77, which is unchanged from a week ago, two cents lower than on this date last month and one cent lower than on this date a year ago.
“AAA expects 55 million Thanksgiving holiday travelers this weekend, with Oʻahu and Maui among their top 10 destinations,” said Liane Sumida, AAA Hawaiʻi general manager. “We expect some extra congestion on roadways throughout the state due to the holiday, and AAA is urging drivers to eliminate distractions and never to drive impaired.”
