LIST: Special Deals for Island Residents in Maui County

Maui Mayor Michael Victorino announced the official launch of the Office of Economic Development’s Kamaʻāina First program website – which helps support local businesses and features discounts for residents impacted by COVID-19 – at www.KamaainaFirst.com.

The website, officially launching Monday, June 1, includes a list of kamaʻāina offers and discounts on accommodations, activities, restaurants, products and services by businesses located on Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi. More than 250 businesses are participating in the program, with more being added every week.

“The Kamaʻāina First program was created to help jumpstart our local economy as we reopen Maui County,” Mayor Victorino said. “Not only is this a great resource for our small businesses to get the attention of locals, but also gives residents the opportunity to take advantage of special deals on products, staycations, dining and more. Best of all, it’s an opportunity to show your aloha for our islands’ businesses and ʻohana.

“Mahalo to the Office of Economic Development staff for coordinating and launching this program for our community.”

Businesses interested in sharing their special kamaʻāina offers must complete a Registration Form available online at www.KamaainaFirst.com/to-participate. There is no cost to participate.

The Kamaʻāina First program also has a Facebook group page that serves as a “one-stop” online hub where local businesses can post information about their services and products. As of today, the Kamaʻāina First Facebook group has more than 6,300 members. Information on the Facebook page is not limited to kamaʻāina discounts/offers.
