Liza Pierce, local blogger and creator of A Maui Blog, recently debuted her first book, “Maui 2021 and Beyond: Your Simple Guide to Enjoying Your Maui Vacation During and After COVID-19 Pandemic,” a timely and relevant guidebook for travelers who plan to visit Maui in the COVID-19 era.

COVID-19 has changed the way we travel—and it has changed Maui, too. Containing up-to-date information, the book helps readers navigate Maui’s “new normal” and plan a safe, stress-free and memorable vacation.

Described as “ideal for both new and returning visitors,” “Maui 2021 and Beyond” covers travel basics, including the best time to visit, accommodation and transportation options, must-do activities, where and what to eat, COVID-19-related safety rules and reminders, and a primer on Hawaiian culture and values.

“I find that visitors who know the basic Hawaiian values and culture are the ones who enjoy their Maui vacation to the fullest,” said Pierce. “They not only fall in love with the place—they also fall in love with the people.”
