List: Maui lane closures through July 12, 2024

The state Department of Transportation will be conducting road work this week that will result in lane closures at various locations. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— South High Street/Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) —

Wailuku: Right lane closure on South High Street/Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30), in the northbound direction, between mile marker 0.8 and 1, in the vicinity of Kehalani Makai Parkway and Kuikahi Drive, on Monday, July 8 and Tuesday, July 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for guardrail maintenance. Traffic will remain open in both directions with a lane shift.

Wailuku: Shoulder closure on South High Street/Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30), in both directions, between mile marker 0 and 3, in the vicinity of Main Street to Maui Tropical Plantation, on Wednesday, July 10 to Friday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for street sweeping.

Wailuku/Waikapū: Single lane closure on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30), in either direction, between mile marker 1.9 and 2.6, in the vicinity of Pilikana Street to Maui Tropical Plantation, on Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for raised crosswalk installation at various locations. Traffic will be maintained in both directions though alternating traffic control (contraflow) in the remaining lane. Crews will direct traffic.

Wailuku/Waikapū: Right lane closure on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30), in the northbound direction, between mile marker 6.4 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Kapoli Street and Maalaea Road, on Thursday, July 11 and Friday, July 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for guardrail maintenance.

Māʻalaea/Papalaua Wayside Park:  Shoulder closure on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30), in the eastbound direction, between mile marker 7 and 10, in the vicinity McGregor Point to Papalaua Wayside Park, on Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for guardrail installation and shoulder improvements.

Ukumehame:  Right lane closure on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30), in the westbound direction, between mile marker 12 and 12.2, in the vicinity of Ukumehame Beach Park, on Monday, July 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for HECO utility work. Traffic will be maintained in both directions with a lane shift.

Lahaina: Right shoulder closure on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30), in the southbound direction, between mile marker 19 and 22, in the vicinity of Hokiokio Place and Fleming Road, on Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for tree removal.

 Main Street/Kaʻahumanu Ave. (Route 32) —

Wailuku/Kahului:  Shoulder closure on Main Street/Kaʻahumanu Ave. (Route 32), in both directions, between mile marker 0 and 2, in the vicinity of North High Street and Hobron Avenue, on Wednesday, July 10 to Friday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for drain cleaning.

 Hobron Ave. (Route 32A) —

Kahului: Shoulder closure on Hobron Avenue (Route 32A), in both directions, between mile marker 0 and 0.3, in the vicinity Kamehameha Avenue and Perimeter Road, on Wednesday, July 10 to Friday, July 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for street sweeping. 

— Kahekili Highway (Route 340) —

Waiehu/Waiheʻe:  Shoulder closure on Kahekili Highway (Route 340), in both directions, between mile marker 0 and 2, in the vicinity of Waiehu Beach Road and Waiheʻe Valley Road, on Wednesday, July 10 to Friday, July 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for street sweeping.

Waiehu/Waiheʻe:  Shoulder closure on Kahekili Highway (Route 340), in both directions, between mile marker 0.4 and 1.5, in the vicinity of Nawaieha Place and Wilipohaku Street, on Wednesday, July 10 to Friday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for drain cleaning.

— Hāna Highway (Route 36/360) —

Kahului/Pāʻia: Shoulder closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360), in both directions, between mile marker 0 and 8.5, in the vicinity of Kaʻahumanu Avenue and Hookipa Beach Park, on Wednesday, July 10 to Friday, July 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for street sweeping.

Haʻikū: Right lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360), in the northbound direction, between mile marker 0 and 0.01, in the vicinity of Kaupakalua Road, on Wednesday, July 10 to Thursday, July 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for guardrail maintenance. Traffic will be maintained in both directions with a lane shift.

Huelo: Right lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360), in either direction, between mile marker 2.9 and 3.3, in the vicinity of Waipio Stream and East Waipio Road, on Tuesday, July 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for guardrail maintenance. Traffic will be maintained in both directions with a lane shift.

Huelo: Right lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360), in the southbound direction, between mile marker 2.9 and 3.3, in the vicinity of Waipio Stream and East Waipio Road, on Wednesday, July 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for guardrail maintenance. Traffic will be maintained in both directions with a lane shift.

Hāna: Intermittent road closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360) in both directions, at mile marker 11.5, in the vicinity of Haipuaena Falls, from Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for emergency rock scaling. There will be short holds of traffic for approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

— Keolani Place (Route 36A) —

Kahului: Shoulder closure on Keolani Place (Route 36A), in both directions, between mile marker 0 and 0.5, in the vicinity of Hāna Highway and Palapala Drive, on Wednesday, July 10 to Friday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for street sweeping.

— Haleakalā Highway/Kekaulike Ave. (Route 377) —

Kula (24/7 closure): Right lane closure on Kekaulike Avenue (Route 377) in the southbound direction, in the vicinity of Alae Road and Waiakoa Road, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, until further notice due to eroded embankment.

— Lahaina Bypass (Route 3000) —

Lahaina: Lane shift and shoulder closure on Lahaina Bypass (Route 3000) in both directions, between mile marker 4.962 and 4.972, from Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for permitted utility installation and associated work for the Kaiāulu o Kūkuʻia master-planned community. Travel lanes will remain open.

Kahului/Paukūkalo: Shoulder closure on Kahului Beach Road (Route 3400) in both directions, between mile marker 0 and mile marker 2.6, in the vicinity of Kaahumanu Avenue and Kahekili Highway, on Wednesday, July 10, to Friday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for street sweeping.

Puʻunēnē Ave. (Route 3500) —

Kahului: Shoulder closure on Puʻunēnē Ave. (Route 3500) in both directions, between mile marker 0 and mile marker 1, in the vicinity of Kaʻahumanu Avenue and Elmer F. Cravalho Way, formerly Airport Access Road, on Wednesday, July 10, to Friday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for street sweeping.

Kahului: Shoulder closure on Puʻunēnē Ave. (Route 3500) in both directions, between mile marker 0.18 and mile marker 1, in the vicinity of Kaʻahumanu Avenue and Elmer F. Cravalho Way, formerly Airport Access Road, on Wednesday, July 10, to Friday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for drain cleaning.

— Elmer F. Cravalho Way/formerly Airport Access Road (Route 3800) —

Kahului: Shoulder closure on Elmer F. Cravalho Way, formerly Airport Access Road (Route 3800) in both directions, between mile marker 0.6 and mile marker 1.2, in the vicinity of Hāna Highway and Pakaula Street, on Wednesday, July 10, to Friday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for street sweeping.
