Rotary Satellite Club of Kīhei-Wailea to hear mission of Mālama Maui Nui, July 16
The Rotary Satellite Club of Kīhei-Wailea will hear from Moana Peleiholani-Blankenfeld with Mālama Maui Nui, who will share the organization’s mission, vision and goals. She will discuss the work that MMN has done in Maui Nui over the last 30-plus years.
Mālama Maui Nui is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate, inspire and empower residents and visitors alike to nurture the environment in support of Maui Nui’s ecosystems, economy, quality of life and unique Hawaiian culture.
Moana comes from the small Hawaiian village of Kalapana on Hawai’i island. She received a dual bachelors of arts degree in Hawaiian Studies and Anthropology from the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo. Moana also received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
During her time at the William S. Richardson School of Law, she was able to help many families in Maui Komohana in their fight for water. Moana has a passion to aloha ʻāina and serve her community.
