The 2019 Sentry champion Xander Schauffele picked up his second major championship title and second victory of the 2024 season at The Open Championship, while Nick Dunlap captured his second win of the season at the Barracuda Championship. The Sentry welcomes PGA TOUR winners from the previous calendar year and the top 50 players from the final FedExCup Playoffs and Eligibility Points List when the event returns to The Plantation Course at Kapalua, Maui from Jan. 2-5, 2025.

A consistent performer on the PGA TOUR since 2017, Schauffele entered The Open Championship with eight career TOUR victories, with his most recent coming at the PGA Championship in May. Riding a streak of six top-15 finishes in his last six starts, including his first major championship win, the 30-year-old shot a final-round 65 to finish 9-under par, and defeat Justin Rose and Billy Horschel by two strokes at Royal Troon.

The 2019 Sentry winner previously qualified for his return trip to Maui by virtue of his title at the PGA Championship in May. Schauffele is set to make his eighth consecutive appearance at The Sentry, where he holds four top-10 finishes in seven starts (T22/2018; Won/2019; T2/2020; T5/2021; 12/2022; Withdrew/2023; T10/2024).

Dunlap earned his second TOUR title in his 21st career start at the Barracuda Championship defeating Vince Whaley by two points. The Barracuda Championship utilized the Modified Stableford scoring format, in which players are allocated points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole with the goal of achieving the highest overall score. The 20-year-old became the first player in history to win on TOUR as an amateur (2024 The American Express) and a professional in the same season. Dunlap previously qualified for his first trip to The Sentry via his title at The American Express.
