The Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows in Kāʻanapali is open once again, following 10 months of providing refuge to Lahaina residents in need. On Tuesday, Sept. 3, the resort will mark its grand reopening with a Hawaiian Blessing at noon, followed by an inaugural dinner service in the evening.

The debut will feature a new oceanfront restaurant and bar, Lahaina Noon, and a new poolside bar, Pineapple Moon. The reimagined culinary destinations are conceptualized by TableOne Hospitality and led by renowned restaurateur Patric Yumul.

Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows welcomes guests to rediscover Kāʻanapali, Maui with a distinctive new restaurant and bar, 333 guest rooms, 127 premier bungalows and expansive leisure services, all paired with mindful tourism and renewed hope for a prosperous Lahaina full of new beginnings.

Dinner is set to debut its first service on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024. Walk-ins are welcome. Reservations are available on www.lahainanoonhi.com, and a royal valet service is complimentary for the first three hours.

Lahaina Noon Restaurant and Bar

Formerly the Royal Ocean Terrace, Lahaina Noon Restaurant and Bar is a chic new 6,960 square-foot oceanfront Maui eatery, overlooking panoramic views of Kāʻanapali Beach and its pristine, turquoise shores, with the islands of Lānaʻi and Molokaʻi a mere eight-miles away, framing the world’s most stunning seascape and sunset.

Featuring open-air dining and refined yet casual riviera interiors, the vibrant day-long menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner offer an elevated farm-to-table style culinary experience that harmoniously blends Maui’s natural bounty with culinary artistry. Each plate reflects a commitment to purveyors and artisans with a shared pursuit of sustainability and superior quality. A curated selection of wines and handcrafted cocktails ensure that every dining experience at Lahaina Noon is a celebration of the senses.

‘Lahaina Noon’ is named after a natural phenomenon where the sun is directly overhead for a short period of time hiding the shadows of earth. It symbolizes perfect alignment of the earth and sky, and its cuisine provides pleasure and nourishment.

Pineapple Moon

Formerly Barefoot Bar, Pineapple Moon, named after “enchanting nights when the moonlight glows just as sweetly as the island’s pineapples,” is a relaxed, open-air, poolside bar. The beachfront gathering place for sun-kissed socializing where pau hana is always a priority. Surrounded by leisure canary-yellow cabanas, swaying palm trees, and sweeping ocean-blue views. Guests are invited to savor the sun with signature craft cocktails, exotic garnishes, and bites inspired by the island’s vibrant flavors.

Additional renovations

The resort’s 127 private bungalows, nestled amid tropical gardens, have been updated with elevated comforts and mid-century-inspired décor, offering serene views of the ocean, mountains, or the adjacent golf course.

The resort, celebrated for its spectacular Myths of Maui nightly lūʻau, is currently expanding its wedding and event spaces to include oceanfront wedding suites, complete with dedicated concierge services and custom amenities. 

Additionally, its Alana Spa is set to debut a new oceanfront oasis of renewed wellness offering six private suites and an enhanced menu of therapeutic body treatments including massages, manicures, pedicures, LED facials, CBD salt-soaks, revitalizing retail and a refreshment bar.
