Dr. Patty Wurst. PC: Sacred Hearts School – Lahaina

Sacred Hearts School in Lahaina has announced the appointment of Dr. Patty Wurst as the new vice principal and curriculum director. Wurst has been a member of the Sacred Hearts ‘ohana since 2000.

“Being an educator is one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life,” said Wurst. “Having the opportunity to nurture and educate the children of former students, watching them grow up and start families of their own, and continuing to be part of their legacy is truly an honor. I’m grateful to be a part of the Sacred Hearts School family for all of these years.”

Wurst was born in Honolulu and raised in Southern California. After returning to Hawaiʻi to be with her family on Maui, she graduated from Chaminade University in Honolulu. She then went on to receive a master’s degree in differentiated instruction from Graceland University in Iowa. Wurst taught for eight years in the public school system before joining Sacred Hearts School in 2000. Recently, she earned a doctoral degree in e-learning from National University, focusing on how to integrate technology into education.
