An overflow crowd of community members were in attendance at a public meeting hosted by the Kīhei Community Association that included dialogue with Maui police regarding two unsolved missing persons cases reported in the past two months.

The meeting included heated questions involving the disappearance of 27-year-old Carly “Charli” Joann Scott, and 46-year-old Moreira “Mo” Monsalve.

Scott was last known to have left the Haʻikū area on Sunday night to assist her ex-boyfriend, who family members say asked for help in getting his car pulled out of an area near mile marker 20 of the Hāna Highway.

Monsalve was last seen on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at her ex-boyfriend‘s residence in Wailuku.

Earlier in the day, Maui police held a press conference to update the media on the progress of investigations into both cases. Video coverage of that event is archived here.

Today friends of Scott finalized a reward being offered for information leading to her direct whereabouts. The $10,000 cash reward runs from midnight on Monday, Feb. 17 to midnight on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014.
